Fight Factory Manchester has added to their ever growing stable with the acquisition of undefeated French Lightweight Radouan ‘French Fry’ Chemmaa.

Chemmaa comes to a city steeped in boxing history, which has had an excellent crop of Lightweight’s in recent times that include, Anthony Crolla, John Murray, Joe Murray as well as the likes of Amir Khan and Michael Gomez who both also operated at Lightweight. The ‘French Fry’ opened up on why he had chosen to move to Manchester.

He said, “I chose Manchester because it is one of the best places in the world to be a professional boxer.

“Manchester gyms provide the best schooling in boxing in the whole of Europe. You can see this by the amount of good professional fighters that are here. This is why I have come here to learn the Manchester way.”
  
Chemmaa excelled as an amateur in his native France, rising to the top of the French amateur ranks in only 24 fights. The native of Lille took elaborated on his amateur career and how he is adapting to life under Fight Factory’s head coach Sean Krool.

“I only had 24 amateur fights but I progressed quickly and mixed it with the elite of French amateur boxing.

“Training with Sean Krool has been really hard but good so far. His training style is very physical and intense, but that is what I need in order to progress in this game.

“I’m really enjoying being around the gym as the atmosphere is fantastic.

“It is great to mix with some talented fighters like Stephen Danyo and Artif Ali every day and we have great sparring too. It is a perfect environment for me to improve as a fighter and win titles in the near future.”
